As opposed to my Birchbox, Ipsy was loaded with makeup items this month! I have to admit that I get pretty excited every month around their arrival times, and this month was so worth it! Here is what I was ‘blessed’ with in March.
Okay, my hair is flat and gets greasy fast. I usually avoid products, especially any types of mousses, creams or whatever else. However, if I find a good enough (and in my book light enough) spray, that won’t weigh my hair down or make it greasy, I am all over it. Caviar Miracle is just that product! I tried it various ways – with a blow out, rough dry, air dry, although outcomes are a bit different, one thing is for sure – you get the desired volume. The spray is light and does not get your hair all tangled and dry. A quick overview of the ingredients : caviar extract, seasilk and a blend of Keratin, Panthenol and Biotin to strengthen and reinforce weak and fragile hair. I’m SOLD! Thank you Ipsy for sending this gem!
This was immediately passed on to my mom. I already have a few lipsticks in this shade, so I knew that I would not be using it. It is also nice to hook my mom up here and there with some goodies! Either way, I did dab it on the back of my hand just to see what this product was about and I discovered that the formula is non sticky, highly pigmented and by the effort that I had to enforce in order to remove it – long lasting ;). As I am into matte finishes these days, this baby was just not for me.
I love the packaging as it is really easy to apply. Another detail that stood out to me is that the tip of the applicator is sponge and not a thin brush. This makes a world of a difference to me. I am not a fan of the brushes as they are a bit hard to control. Otherwise it is a regular liquid liner and I am glad to add it to my collection.
This was a pleasant little surprise, as I am in love with the shade! It is a light taupe shade that is perfect for my skin complection! It is natural, but at the same time it gives a little something something. It can also be used as a highlighter or blush. I will definitely try it out as the latter two. Highly recommend!
This was probably supplemental to the aforementioned shadow and I definitely found use for this gadget in my routine. Since the brush is not big and super fluffy, it is perfect for applying highlighter. Being smaller, it allows for more precise application, such as at the top of my cheekbones and bridge of my nose. So all in all, I am pretty psyched about this one.
What did you get in your Ipsy bag this month?
