February 2016 Ipsy Bag Review

Its that time of the month again! No, not that time, but the time when my Ipsy Bag arrives! This month I have been pleasantly surprised by the goodies that came in. This was my first time getting a “tool” and the baggie itself is pretty cute too!

First item is the MOR hand and body lotion with almond extract. My basic first impression is that it is a lotion, no wonders there. It is not too thick, super absorbent and doesn’t leave your skin feeling  greasy. However, when I started to read up on it, it promises to do more than what you expect at first glance. It contains antioxidants for skin rejuvenation, Aloe Vera for hydration and extracts of Papaya and Passion flower for a better tone and texture of your skin. So I have lathered on and fingers crossed, I will reap the benefits soon enough 😉

Next is the small tapered blending eye brush by Luxie Beauty. Definitely a nice little surprise, since this is my first “tool” from Ipsy. Loving this gadget so far! My eyes are small so I am all about brushes that can do the job. It is great for getting into those corners where a regular sized blending brush is just too much. Best part about this brush is that it is coated with an antibacterial solution! Win – Win!

I was pleasantly surprised with the next item in my February bag – TreStique Blush Stick. At first I was a little hesitant because I only use powder blushes, however this little stick is made of magic! It glides on your cheeks effortlessly, the color is soft so you get a chance to build up the intensity. Just draw it onto your cheekbones and spread gently with your fingers or a blush brush. Done!

Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion exfoliator made it into this month’s goodie bag and I must say, I am not hating it. Very gentle, great to use with a facial brush, and refreshing. This product promises to shrink and cleanse pores as well as smoothing and evening out skin texture. I have only used it twice so far, but I will attest that my complexion is for sure more even. I will continue using this exfoliator and hopefully I will get the promised results.

Last, but not least by any means is the Bye Bye Under Eye by It Cosmetics. Very happy with this product. Gives you maximum under eye coverage, which I desperately need. On top of it all, it is water proof, anti aging and highly pigmented. I will go as far as saying that this is the best under eye concealer that I have come across in the last year. It is a bit thick, however it covers great! After wearing it the entire day, I noticed that I did not have any creasing or cracking. So this was a great little find in my February 2016 Ipsy bag.

What did you get this month?
