So my blog has been on hiatus, or rather me, for the last couple of weeks or so. 2015 managed to get unbelievably busy towards the end, but these are all blessings that I cannot and will not complain about.
To round of 2015 – beginning was challenging to say the least! But we got through it and finished it of with a crazy personal bang that we did not expect at all. Another highlight of 2015 is that I have started this baby and I must say that it was one of the best leaps that I have taken in my creative life. It might sound silly, but it was rather a bit scary to put my life out there for the world to see, but this was certainly an outlet that was much needed. No turning back now 😉
As for what I expect of myself in 2016 – well I would like to make it about my soul! I have made many resolutions in the previous years that were materialistic in nature, or the usual ” I want to loose weight!” or “Exercise More” types. I figured it was time to mix it up a bit and challenge myself on a different level. So here goes.
- Family – I know that this is a given, but I feel like sometimes we get caught up in our everyday life and everything that comes with it. Although, I am blessed to have my family VERY near by, sometimes we still manage to go on for weeks without spending any real quality time together. So, one of my goals this year is to turn this around!
- Positive Thinking – I can’t say that I am a “Debbie Downer”, but I won’t deny that sometimes things can get the best of me. I would like to find it within me to always, always keep striving and keep going no matter how badly life can knock you down. Positivity attracts positivity, and I am a strong believer in perseverance.
- Taking Care of Myself Better – I guess this one is a bit about the “Loosing Weight” and “Exercising More”, however I won’t attach a set parameter to it. I exercise enough, so my goal is to keep exercising as I do now and not to give up. I would like to eat better, but I do not want to be a complete health freak either. What I would like to do is to make small changes that will stick and help me make a life style change.
- Blog More – a New Years resolution list would not be complete without at least one professional goal! In 2016 I would like to spend more time on my “baby” and grow it as much as I can. I do not know where this journey will take me, but I am so very excited to find out.
And this completes my list of goals for 2016 and I hope that come 12/31/2016, I will be able to put a nice review of what I was actually able to accomplish.
Happy New Year!
